I will not approve any comments that I consider offensive or hateful. That includes any transphobic comments such as deliberate misgendering of a trans person (e.g. calling a trans women “he”), any blaming the victim such as resorting to a trans panic defense, (blaming the trans person for not revealing they were transgender), any use of the bathroom predator myth, use of hateful slurs, or any other forms of prejudicial speech. I also will not tolerate homophobic comments, including slurs, use of a gay panic defense, reciting bible verses, or in any other way denigrating lesbian, gay, bisexual, polysexual or asexual/aromantic persons.
If your post wasn’t approved within 24 hours you may assume it wasn’t approved. I have had to deal with bullying, hate speech and other forms of prejudice throughout my life. I have been part of the struggle for LGBT rights for half of my life. I am proud to be part of the LGBTQ community and together we worked hard for the equality we’ve been able to achieve. I get that there are people who are upset that LGBTQ people have secured equal rights in many places and want to roll the clock back. Sorry, that’s not going to happen as long as we keep up the struggle for equality and it certainly is not going to happen in the comments section of this blog,
