Gender 101 and Beyond Via Infographics

Here are the variables that define our identity. For Example I am Agender so under Gender Identity I would choose other, under Gender Expression I am a mix of Feminine (more predominant), Masculine and Other, The Sex I Was Assigned At Birth was Male, I am Sexually and Romantically Attracted to Men – specifically Androgynous Men as well as Androgynous/Effeminate Non-Binary Gender Identified People.

Trans Student Educational Resources created the Gender Unicorn infographic as well as the infographic below.

This is a simplified Gender 101 which uses Genderqueer as the umbrella term to cover all non-binary gender identities.

The graphic above was found on Pinterest and was posted by Mel (@lgbt_pride_lgbt) on Instagram. It illustrates that their is a rich variety of non-binary gender identities.

This infographic is more inclusive when describing non-binary gender identities. There are additional non-binary gender identities that are not listed but this is a good overview.

Note: I edited this graphic to eliminate the asterisk after Trans which is now considered unnecessary and even offensive by some. The term “Trans” is now the widely accepted umbrella term.
