While Two-Thirds of America’s National Parks are Dedicated to Culturally & Historically Significant Sites, Struggle  for LGBT Equality is Not Recognized

Today, in front of the iconic Stonewall Inn,U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, U.S. Congressman Jerrold Nadler, the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), state and local elected officials, advocacy groups and community leaders launched a new campaign to designate the nation’s first national park site dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) history at Stonewall.
